Meet Your Library Media Specialist

I am proud to serve GCES as the Library Media Specialist.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University-Dothan and am currently working toward my Master's Degree in Library Media from the University of West Alabama. I am currently in my 12th year of education, with 4 years of experience in Mobile, Alabama, and the past 7 years proudly serving at GCES.

I am happily married to my husband of 13 years. We have two energetic boys, an eight-year-old and a two-year-old, who keep us busy and bring us so much joy.

As the Library Media Specialist, I am committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging library environment where all students can develop a love of reading, learning, and discovery. I strive to support students, teachers, and families by providing access to quality resources, fostering information and digital literacy skills, and encouraging lifelong learning. Through collaboration with classroom teachers, I help connect library resources to classroom instruction and support student achievement across all subject areas. My goal is to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a passion for reading while ensuring that every student feels valued and empowered to explore new ideas and reach their full potential.
